Work programme

The official WP2016-2017 is avaible. A short overview can be found hereunder

The Marie Sklodowska-Curie actions ensure excellent and innovative research training as well as attractive career and knowledge-exchange opportunities through cross-border and cross-sector mobility of researchers to best prepare them to face current and future societal challenges.

MSCA follow a bottom-up approach: MSCA are open to all domains of research and innovation, from basic research up to market take-up and innovation services. Research and innovation fields as well as sectors are chosen freely by the applicants.

MSCA support the researchers at all stage of their career: MSCA are open to researchers and innovation staff, as well as to universities, research institutions, research infrastructures, businesses, and other socio-economic actors. Under Horizon 2020, special attention is paid to encourage a strong participation of industry, in particular SMEs.

MSCA support the European Charter for Researchers and Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers: It is recommended that all the funded participants endorse and apply the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers (Charter and Code) promoting open recruitment and attractive working and employment conditions. Special attention is also paid to gender balance.

Mobility is a key requirement: Researchers receive funding on the condition that they move from one country to another to broaden or deepen their competences (check the eligibility conditions specific to each type of actions)

Funding schemes

MSCA are implemented through 4 funding schemes:
- Innovative Training Networks (ITN)
- Individual fellowships (IF)
- Research and Innovation Staff Exchange Scheme (RISE)
- Cofund of existing or new PhD or post-doc fellowship programme (Cofund)
